Back when he had praised Dillon Brooks for his toughness, LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers found himself experiencing that same grit firsthand. During a rebound attempt in the fourth quarter against the Rockets, Brooks inadvertently struck James in the head with his arm. This caused James to fall to the floor in visible discomfort. Despite the hit, James toughed it out and finished the game, which unfortunately ended in a 135-119 victory for the Rockets.
LeBron James took a hard fall to the court following a collision with Houston Rockets’ forward Dillon Brooks.
LeBron and Brooks both leaped for the rebound, but Brooks accidentally bumped into James as they were coming back down.
James wasted no time shutting down a question about his previous comments on Brooks’ toughness. After the game, a clip of this interaction was shared by ESPN reporter Dave McMenamin. James didn’t let the reporter finish his question, simply saying “Next question.” Along with DeAngelo Russell and Anthony Davis, James scored a team-leading 23 points in the match against the Rockets, but Jalen Green, Alperen Sengun, and Cam Whitmore had impressive performances as well. The Lakers’ recent record stands at 3-3 in the last six games, and they are looking to bounce back on their road trip against the Atlanta Hawks.
