Off she goes: Following her successful stint as a guest host on Saturday Night Live, Gal Gadot was seen departing from New York on Sunday. Her appearance on the show generated buzz on social media after she shared a kiss with SNL cast member Kate McKinnon. In the skit, Gal portrayed Wonder Woman, also known as Diana, residing on the fictional island of Themyscira with a community of Amazon warriors. Keeping it simple yet chic, the 32-year-old actress known for her role in Wonder Woman was spotted at JFK Airport wearing a basic black sweater with matching leggings and white sneakers.
In a moment of curiosity, Diana decides to test her feelings by suggesting she kiss one of her friends, to which Kate’s character Drae volunteers after a brief pause. The studio audience cheers as they lock lips, but Diana bluntly confesses, “I’m sorry, I feel nothing,” leaving the visitors disappointed as they depart Themyscira.
In her opening speech, Gal expressed her excitement about the show airing live in Israel for the first time, mentioning her Israeli roots with a shout-out to her family in Hebrew. She concluded with a heartfelt message to her loved ones back home.
Staying cozy: With her hair pulled back in a bun, Gal added a touch of style to her outfit with chic black sunglasses and a plaid scarf. In her message, she humorously pointed out the misconception of her constantly eating hummus in sketches about Israel and expressed hope for more nuanced portrayals in the future. Leslie Jones joined her onstage as “Time Square’s Wonder Woman,” joking about posing for photos with young fans and German tourists alike.

Although the episode received criticism for not addressing the headline-making scandal of the week – a series of sexual harassment accusations against Hollywood executive Harvey Weinstein brought to light in the New York Times.
At the after-party for Saturday Night Live, Lorne Michaels, the creator, was reminded that they hadn’t touched on the Weinstein scandal. His response was simply, “It’s a New York thing.”
During the dress rehearsal, there was a joke made about Weinstein during the weekend update segment that received a big reaction from the audience. Unfortunately, the joke didn’t make it to the live show.
